Psych med withdrawal 101:

(That your doctor probably won’t tell you)
-go slowly

 

-taper one drug at a time. Wait at least 2 weeks between each reduction

 

-if withdrawal effects are too intense, slow down or go back up

 

-any extreme symptoms you have from withdrawal are NOT your diagnosis, baseline or “symptoms coming back”.

 

-once you’ve withdrawn slowly and safely, you can start to assess your baseline

 

-get enough protein and amino acids through food and/or supplements

 

-oat straw and tulsi are good herbs as tincture, tea or infusion
