Bringing in Your Personal Story

Chaya Workshop Flier

Tuesday, October 22nd, 2019 1pm-4pm
@ Holyoke Library-250 Chestnut St.

Bringing in Your Personal Story (Even if You’re Not a Psychiatric Survivor), with Author Chaya Grossberg.

In this training we will explore and experiment with how, when and why to bring your own psychiatric trauma survivor story to share with others. We will explore which parts of your story feel most relevant to share, which parts may be most inspiring to others, and how to share these stories in the most poignant ways. You will have the opportunity to consider different platforms for sharing your story, practice telling part f it to the group if you choose, and consider whether you are ready to tell your story publicly with or without anonymity. Interactive exercises will create opportunities to explore and try out telling your story in writing, speech and other art forms. All activities in the training will be optional.
